Robert Healey, BS, rEDT, MBA Research Associate Rob graduated from UCSD in 1992 with a bachelor’s degree in Biomedical Engineering. Following his interests in human motion and sensation, he spent 3 years working clinically with Dr. Michael Swenson in Neurology and was certified as an electrodiagniostic technician. In 1995, he teamed up with Drs. Amiel and Coutts performing orthopaedic research for almost 20 years with an emphasis on biomechanics of joints and soft tissues including cartilage, meniscus, tendons and ligaments. He is currently the lab manager for the Clinical Physiology Laboratory with Dr. Hargens working on human performance and countermeasures to risks associated with long-term spaceflight in astronauts. Rob also works with Drs. Santore and Muldoon in the Sharp Hip Preservation Center.
